Express-News Cowboys beat writer Tom Orsborn looks at five things you should watch for during the team's upcoming game against the New York Giants (7:20 p.m. Sunday, NBC).

1. Blasting Brandon: Packing 264 pounds on a 6-foot-4 frame, Giants running back BRANDON JACOBS is a defensive back's nightmare. "He hits the holes and he's praying that he gets to the secondary against those small guys," Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears said. To prevent Jacobs from having a big game, the Cowboys must gang up on Jacobs and make the first blow severe.
-
2. Two tight end tango: Frequent use of the two-tight end set featuring Jason Witten and MARTELLUS BENNETT is one of the ways the Cowboys made the offense friendlier for Tony Romo. Last week, the "12 personnel" grouping -- two tight ends, one running back with Bennett split wide -- helped produce two long TD passes. With the Giants secondary depleted by injuries, Romo could have another big day.
-
3. Tuck rule: With their deep, talented front seven, the Giants could hound Romo, especially with end Osi Umenyiora back after missing last season with a knee injury. But if there's a Giants defensive lineman that is likely to wreak havoc, it's JUSTIN TUCK, who recorded three sacks against Dallas last year.
-
4. Wrapping up Ware: In their last meeting with the Giants, the Cowboys tallied eight sacks, including three by outside linebacker DEMARCUS WARE, to win 20-8 on December 14. To keep Eli Manning upright, the Giants likely will copy the double- and triple-teaming tactics the Buccaneers used on Ware.
-
5. Protectionist policy: TONY ROMO appears to be serious about protecting the ball. He survived the opener without throwing an interception, marking only the 10th time in 40 career starts he's accomplished the feat.
-
Prediction: The Giants rudely ruin the party by physically overwhelming the Cowboys offensive and defensive lines in the fourth quarter. Giants 26, Cowboys 24
