Azúca Nuevo Latino Restaurant, Mojito Bar and Cake Depot

Location: 713 S. Alamo St.

What's new: The owners have taken on the task of producing flans and tres leches cakes for the past 11/2 years under the name Cake Depot for wholesale suppliers Ben E. Keith and Sysco for shipment across Texas. Though the building next to Azúca has advertised that a location called Aroma is coming soon, co-owner Pierre Kranzle described that as “a very dusty sign.” (We took that to mean Aroma won't be opening anytime soon.) Azúca also has recently started a reverse happy hour from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
