The convenience of a drive-through paired with the cheery employees and delivery on larger orders earns the Little Texas Cafe a B in our book. Be wary of late-morning specials, and definitely say yes to the hot sauce.

WHAT: Little Texas Cafe

WHERE: 15035 Nacogdoches Road, (210) 967-5915; www.littletexascafe.com

HOURS: 5:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday; 7 a.m -2 p.m. Saturday; 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday

TASTE SENSATION: The classic breakfast taco is served up quick and cheap with super tasty hot sauce. At less than $1.50 apiece and more than a dozen variations, the morning favorite is hard to beat.

TUMS-WORTHY: Just because something is on special does not mean it's the best thing to order. The English muffin breakfast sandwich cost twice as much as the tacos and did not quite fit the bill in the taste department. Overwhelmingly greasy and not so fresh-tasting, the breakfast sandwich was nowhere near as good as it sounded.

THE 210 TAKE: The market for breakfast tacos in San Antonio is huge, and the Little Texas Cafe keeps it real with traditional recipes. For convenience, delivery is available on orders over $25.
