The Studio exudes a sophistication that bars catering to a younger crowd sometimes lack. Watch out for the cover charge, though.

GET YOUR DRINK ON: 6 p.m.-2 a.m. Fridays; 9 p.m.-3 a.m. Saturdays. Also, look out for Comedy Nights on every first and third Thursday of the month. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
HOTTIES QUOTIENT: Medium. You’re not likely to spot a lot of glitzy, celeb-wannabe eye candy — but you might catch a glimpse of the “fine wine” variety here. And we all need a heady sip of that every now and then.

WALLET HANGOVER: Medium to high. The drinks don’t cost a lot, with well drinks running around $4 and domestics and imports in the $3 range and drink specials running all night, but the cover can have you shelling out as much as $20, depending on the night and which band is performing. But you can save a big chunk of change by getting your party on early — on Fridays, there’s no cover before 8 p.m. (and a free buffet), and on Saturdays there’s no cover for ladies before 11 p.m.

THE 210 TAKE: The Studio offers something for the “grown and sexy” crowd looking to have a good time and not be surrounded by the primarily collegiate and younger crowds that frequent other nightclubs and bars. There’s live music, which ranges from smooth jazz to smoldering R&B. There is a sense of sophistication and maturity at The Studio; there’s no room for immature bar fights and tacky pickup lines. The Studio, like its clientele, has perfected a formula for entertainment that only gets better with time.
