Why did you choose new media communications?

I wanted to major in graphic design. I basically just want to be able to create things and have them used for advertisements. We don’t have something like that there at Northwest Vista, so that was the closest thing I could get to. It really does have a lot to do with what I want to do in the future.
 
What do you want to do in the future?

I want to work for an advertisement company designing either logos or billboard ads or whatnot. Just anything having to do with computers.

Why did you choose Northwest Vista College?

I really love the setting. I love how outdoorsy the environment feels. It seems very peaceful, and I really like the people here. The location is really nice, and also it’s really inexpensive.

What was your hardest course ever?

Accounting. I hated accounting.

Do you like to travel? Where do you want to travel to some day?

I love to travel. My parents are from Mexico, and every year we go to Mexico. A couple years back, I went to Spain, and I would love to go back. I would also love to go to France at least for a little bit because I’ve seen part of it. I’ve seen the southern part of France, but I haven’t really gone into Paris or any places like that, so I would love to go there.

Does being bilingual help you?

Yes, it really does. Not that they pay me (at my job) more for knowing both Spanish and English, but a lot of people who don’t know Spanish also need translations, and I’m often the only one there who can translate and so it helps a lot at work. It also does good to obtain jobs when they know I can speak both languages.
