Nelson always brings an all-star lineup along to his Fourth of July picnics, and this year is no exception. Here are the top acts scheduled to appear at the 35th annual event, which will be held in San Antonio for the first time:

THE RUNDOWN

WHAT: Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic

WHERE: Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, 16765 Lookout Road, Selma

WHEN: Noon Friday, July 4

HOW MUCH: $27-$67

INFO: ticketmaster.com; willienelson.com

Pat Green: The prince of Texas music recently released the coffee-table book “Pat Green’s Dance Halls & Dreamers.” His latest single is the mid-tempo love song “Let Me.”

Merle Haggard: Haggard — whose hits include “Okie From Muskogee,” “Mama Tried” and “Pancho and Lefty,” which he recorded with Nelson — helped develop the “Bakersfield sound” more than 40 years ago.

Johnny Bush: The San Antonio native and Texas Country Music Hall of Fame member who wrote Nelson’s hit “Whisky River” teamed up with Nelson and Ray Price for his new album, Young at Heart.

Los Lonely Boys: The masters of Texican roots rock release their latest album, Forgiveness, just three days before the picnic.

Ray Price: Another giant of country music, the 82-year-old Price’s hits include “Crazy Arms” and “The Other Woman.” He has been performing with Nelson since the 1950s, and the two won a Grammy in 1997 for their cover of “Lost Highway.”

Billy Joe Shaver: Shaver made his name as one of the outlaw country greats; recently, the born-again Christian has been focusing on country gospel.

Asleep at the Wheel: Ray Benson and crew, who have won eight Grammy Awards in the last 30 years, bring their brand of Western swing to the picnic.

David Allan Coe: Another member of the original outlaw country movement, the insanely prolific Coe is probably best known for penning the Johnny Paycheck hit “Take This Job and Shove It.”

Ray Wylie Hubbard: The Austin singer who made his name with the song “Up Against the Wall, Redneck Mother” mixes country, rock, blues and a good time.
