Name: Ellen Wise, 19 Location: Starbucks, Nacogdoches and New Braunfels What are you doing out and about today? I go to college in Mississippi, and I’m home for the summer holiday. My parents don’t have computer access at home anymore, so I’m here today checking my e-mail, my Facebook. Where in Mississippi do you go to school? Ole Miss. I just finished my freshman year. I was actually planning to transfer to somewhere in California because I want to do something with fashion. Ole Miss doesn’t really offer it. How did you become interested in fashion? My mom is an incredibly fashionable woman for one thing. I guess I got it from her. I think of fashion as an art form. I like to see what looks good on me, what colors go with my skin tone. Your outfit today looks really cool and cute. Thank you. I just threw it all together. I’m wearing a Pucci scarf. It’s actually my mother’s. I wanted to have kind of a chic boating look today with my J.Crew tank, khaki shorts and my top-siders. I really like your scarf. I wouldn’t think of wearing a scarf in the summer. I don’t know a single person who wears a scarf. It’s something I’ve been doing since my junior year (at Alamo Heights High School). I think it’s a cool, classic look.
