GET YOUR DRINK ON: 11 a.m.-2 a.m. 7 days a week

HOTTIES QUOTIENT: Average. This neighborhood bar draws locals and poker players from around the city who range in age from 21 to 60. You do occasionally get that sizzling chick or hot guy — maybe even an officer (or a gentleman) from nearby Fort Sam Houston or Randolph AFB. The waitresses are eye candy as well.

WALLET HANGOVER: Medium. There's no cover. Domestic beer is $2.75 for pints and longnecks, and mixed drinks average $3.75 to $5.25. There are drink specials from 4 p.m. to 2 p.m. every day, which saves you a buck or two. The food menu is a bit pricey for our bar-food taste, but the selection is ample. It includes appetizers such as Firehouse's signature wings and bigger items including burgers, steaks and salads. The prices range from $4.99 for onion rings or fries to $19.99 for a 14-ounce ribeye.

THE 210 TAKE: This bar has a little of everything. There's live music — cover bands — Fridays and Saturdays. This is definitely the place to watch your games: There are 27 (count 'em, 27) TVs (three of them are 120-inch big screens) on which you can catch the Spurs and other sports, even UFC fights for free (other places charge for watching pay-per-view). There's shuffleboard for $1 a game, a couple of video games and three electronic dart boards. The signature draw are the eight tables (that replaced all pool tables) in the poker parlor, where 80 to 100 players on any given night compete for cash prizes. June's finals carry $2,500 in cash prizes, with the champ getting $1,000 — enough to buy a round of drinks, no?
