You look so comfortably chic.....

Thank you! I buy most of my clothes here.

Is this where you work?

Yes, I'm a sales associate. Actually, this job is the reason I moved to San Antonio.

When? From where?

Last year at the end of October. I've spent my entire life in El Paso.

So your plan was to move here for work?

Not really, I was actually looking for graduate schools — I have my bachelor's degree in marketing from UT-El Paso — and the University of the Incarnate Word was my third stop after visiting Trinity and UTSA.

And where does the job come in?

Well, during my visit to Incarnate Word I found out about the opening from someone in the fashion design department. So I checked it out, and I got the job. It all happened so fast — like within a two-week period. I didn't expect to settle in so quickly, but it's turned out amazing and everyone here is so nice!

Are you going to Incarnate Word now?

No, I missed application and registration deadlines. But I am taking some architecture classes at SAC; I was thinking I might pursue something along the lines of interior design. But I really love clothes .....

How's that going — working around unique clothes every day?

Sometimes it doesn't. My first three paychecks basically stayed here at the store. But I'm learning to be more mature about my fashion purchases.
