Location: Steve Madden, North Star Mall

Your look is very edgy. Is that how you would describe it?

Yeah, sort of laid-back rock ’n’ roll. I have to come to work dressed to impress, but I try to find my own style.

Is (Steve Madden) where you work?

Yes, I'm a sales associate.

With a lot of shoes, I'm sure .....

Oh, yeah (laughing), I definitely buy a lot of shoes because I work there. But I really love clothes. Shoes are OK.

OK? You work in a very cool shoe store!

Yeah, but I'm surrounded by shoes all day, so they're not as exciting when you see them all the time.

Gotcha. So what do you do when you're not selling shoes?

I go to school, to SAC. I'm planning to study forensic psychology.

Not necessarily a fashion-related career .....

No, but I'd like to do something I enjoy, that I could make good money doing, and that would allow me to pursue fashion designing on the side. I also just started taking tap-dance classes.

No kidding! Why tap-dancing?

I've done it practically all my life, plus it's just awesome — you're making music with your feet.

Are you any good?

I'm not fabulous, but I do pretty well. I just really enjoy it. Next, I hope to take some acting classes. I've been on a few auditions for plays, but nothing yet. I really love the arts. And, fashion too.
