Dancing with the Stars” kicks off its sixth season in March, and there's no word yet on which celebrities in need of a career boost will participate in the next round of the dance competition.

But that doesn't mean we don't have our own thoughts on which stars we'd like to see in the celebrity dance-off show.

CHARO
Besides the pure entertainment value of watching the flamboyant Spanish-born singer attempt ballroom dancing, we think she stands a chance of making it past the first few weeks of competition. We can hear “Dancing” judge Bruno Tonioli now: “Charo, you were like a beautiful piñata exploding on the dance floor. Cuchi-cuchi, indeed!”

JOHN MCENROE
We'd like to see this former tennis brat on “Dancing,” for no other reason than to watch him argue with judges like he did with tennis umpires back in his tennis-playing heyday.

DEBORAH (NEE DEBBIE) GIBSON
The former '80s crooner showed us she has rhythm when she starred as Rizzo in “Grease” on Broadway a few years ago. It was one of several roles she's played in various Broadway productions. She's been on “Skating with Celebrities.” Now, we want to see her dance.

M.C. HAMMER
If the next installment of “Dancing” is indeed Hammer Time, we urge the singer-turned-preacher to leave his Hammer pants at home.

JOSE CANSECO
Every installment of “Dancing” needs a rhythm-less jock or an overconfident showboat. Jose is both.

SHANNEN DOHERTY
The former “Charmed” actress can outshine her fellow “90210” alumni Jennie Garth and Ian Ziering by making it to the “Dancing” finals. We wouldn't want to be in Doherty's way if she doesn't.
