What a great outfit! Are those pearls vintage?
No, they're actually from Nordstrom. But my handbag is; it's my grandmother's. Most of my favorite things come from grandma's closet.

So you ‘shop' from her closet a lot?
I have lately, especially since San Antonio doesn't have a lot to offer as far as vintage stores are concerned. But I don't wear strictly vintage things. I like to mix it up.

Like with those destructed jeans?
Yeah. Well, my philosophy is if you have the right shoes or handbag, you can be wearing a trash bag and still look good. Oh, and pearls, they really dress up anything.

That must make for speedy dressing .....
It took me about five minutes this morning. Of course, I had to think about the weather and what I had to do today. But I knew I wanted to look nice and be comfortable at the same time, so I actually started with this sweatshirt and went from there.

That's a sweatshirt?
Yeah, it's sweatshirt fabric, but it's fitted and has pretty ruffles and a bow. So, I get the comfort of sweats without the sloppy look.

Smart, as are the silver pumps. Do you wear heels all the time?
I try to wear them every day; I'm one of the few brave souls at my school — O'Connor — who wears them. I figure I'd get my feet used to them since I'll probably have to wear them a lot later on.
