HOT ITUNES DOWNLOADS

BRITNEY SPEARS: ‘FREAKSHOW'
The opening lyrics of this aptly titled track from Britney's Blackout: “10 p.m. to 4/and I came to hit the floor.” We call bulls**t. You all know that when Britney hits the club, she passes out closer to 1 a.m.

ARCADE FIRE: ‘NEON BIBLE'
The best track from Arcade Fire's album of the same name, which ranks among the year's best releases, should appeal to those with even the shortest of attention spans. After all, it's only about two minutes long.

TORI AMOS: ‘BIG WHEEL'
Thanks to some renovations at Austin Music Hall, Amos' Nov. 26 show was moved just down I-35 to San Antonio's Majestic Theatre. Hopefully, the piano-playing goddess will perform this single, in which she drinks some pain away. Sure, that story's been told in musical form so many times before, but not as eloquently as Amos tells it.

SUGARLAND: ‘STAY'
The latest single from Sugarland features what we believe to be a girlfriend/wife begging for her man to stay, as opposed to shacking up with another woman ..... or vice versa. Either way, the guy has options.

PLIES FEATURING AKON: ‘HYPNOTIZED’
Akon apparently isn’t one for figurative metaphor, as evidenced by his rather literal lyrics on Plies’ latest single: “That booty keep bumping/titties just bouncin’ up and down/you got me so hypnotized.” At least Akon knows what he likes.

GOOD CHARLOTTE: ‘I DON’T WANNA BE IN LOVE (DANCE FLOOR ANTHEM)’
Well Joel, you should have thought about that before you knocked up Nicole Richie.

SANTANA FEATURING CHAD KROEGER: ‘INTO THE NIGHT’
Santana is famous for recruiting a who’s who of rock elite with which to work, as evidenced by his latest collaboration with the Nickelback frontman. Oh well, at least it’s not Rob Thomas.

The Vault

ARTIST: Beck
ALBUM: Midnite Vultures
RELEASE DATE: Nov. 23, 1999
THE 210 TAKE: Beck has always been rather prolific, and this album, with a cover featuring a woman in hot pants and an image that can safely be described as sexually suggestive, is no exception. It wasn't a major hit like his previous work, mostly because it didn't feature a radio-friendly track like “Loser,” but Midnite Vultures did eventually go gold on the strength of songs like “Sexx Laws” and “Nicotine & Gravy.”
