Shame it takes Halloween to dig up some love for the living dead, what with so many goodies out there to sink our teeth into. Try these zombie treats that are always in season.

GLOW-IN- THE-DARK FLESH EATING ZOMBIES
($14.49 at perpetualkid.com)
For those who like zombie figurines that embody all walks of life, this nine-piece set has a motley bunch of man-eaters and a zombie dog, too. Ooh, and they also glow in the dark, so you get that eerie glowing commentary on society's devouring of itself. Or just creepy toys.

ZOMBIES WERE PEOPLE, TOO
($15 at shirtstain.com) Carl, Mary, Carlos, Amber, Conner, Duane, Betty, Gregory, Dante and Kim. Remember these lost souls not as undead cannibals but as random names that make for a good sick joke you can wear in public.

‘THE WALKING DEAD, VOLUME 1: DAYS GONE BYE'
($9.99, Image Comics)
If Stephen King wrote comic books for a living, he'd probably crank out some character-driven horror like “The Walking Dead.” Instead, we can praise Robert Kirkman for his bracing yet nuanced tale where the living can be just as frightening as the dead. The art by Tony Moore only enhances the whole “Night of the Living Dead” vibe. “Volume 1” collects the first six issues of the comic series.

And now for some free eye candy. The title says it all in this fake trailer for the Fab Four and flesh-munching folk. Just goes to show The Beatles and zombies really do have screaming girls in common.
