GET YOUR DRINK ON: Monday-Friday 3 p.m.-2 a.m., Saturday-Sunday 6 p.m.-2 a.m.

HOTTIES QUOTIENT: Medium. The name might recall the depressing movie starring Mickey Rourke as an alcoholic, but the clientele at Bar Fly is a lot cleaner and lot less sloppy drunk. Most of the crowd on a typical weekend night falls in the 21-40 range. You'll see guys in cowboy hats, guys in backward baseball caps and guys with long hair. Women show up in everything from jeans to club wear, but for the most part Bar Fly is casual. If the patrons aren't pleasing, don't fret — the wait staff is young and smokin'.

WALLET HANGOVER: Low to medium. There's never a cover. Most beers cost $3-$3.50 and most mixed drinks cost $7 or less. Every night there is a beer special (for $2-$2.50) and a liquor special. Happy hour runs 3-9 p.m. Monday-Friday, when it's a buck off all drinks.

THE 210 TAKE: Bar Fly is dark, unpretentious and comfortable. There's a pool table in one corner and a stage in another, where mostly cover rock bands play every night. Drive plays every Sunday, and Henry Roland from Starchild performs original music on Wednesdays. Bar Fly is also stocked with darts, touch-screen video games, an Internet jukebox and a huge projection screen TV for football and Spurs games. The bands can get a bit loud for the small space, and it's noticeably smoky, but overall it's easy to see why Bar Fly has many loyal regulars.
