Anything having to do with death is usually considered Grim Reaper-ish. But the Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a celebration of life.

Looking for a fiesta after Halloween has subsided? Don't discount Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, celebrations around town next weekend. Día de los Muertos, the Mexican holiday that honors the dead, is held Nov. 1 and 2, with the first day paying reverence to deceased infants and children and the second day remembering adults. In Mexican tradition, it's a joyous holiday. So grab some pan de muertos, sugar skulls and cerveza while checking out the slew of Día de los Muertos events around San Antonio.
