October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and several tech makers have joined the cause by donating proceeds from the sales of their specially hued devices. Here are some pink gadgets that offer more than just a pretty color.
IPOD SHUFFLE SPECIAL EDITION
($79.99 at Target)
A pink iPod shuffle with what amounts to a free $15 iTunes gift card? Nice. With proceeds that benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation? Very nice. How nice? BCRF will get $25,000 courtesy U.S. Merchants.
SPORT ARMBAND FOR IPOD SHUFFLE
($19.99 at Target)
Why get this Belkin armband for a clip-on shuffle? Because 10 percent of the armband's retail price goes to BCRF. (For what it's worth, the armband is hand-washable and water-resistant.) Belkin also has three special pink cases for the iPod nano (not the new wider model) at $24.99 each, with 10 percent of each sale also benefiting BCRF.

SPORTBUDS 2 PACK AND SPORTCLIP HEADPHONES
($19.99 each at bestbuy.com)
Might as well also get some pink headphones to go with that pink shuffle and give more to fight breast cancer in the process. Buy special pink SportBuds or SportClip headphones by Koss, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure gets $2.50 for each sold, with a guaranteed donation of $100,000.
2GB SECURE DIGITAL AND 4GB SECURE DIGITAL HIGH CAPACITY MEMORY CARDS
($39.99 and $49.99, available at Best Buy and Circuit City)
PNY has two memory cards to benefit Komen for the Cure, so look for the packaging with the Komen for the Cure pink ribbon. PNY will donate $100,000 to Komen.
VAIO CR SERIES NOTEBOOK
($1,369.99 at sonystyle.com)
This pretty little pink Sony laptop sports a 200GB hard drive, 14.1-inch screen, CD/DVD burning drive and more, with BCRF getting $75 for each one sold. Sonystyle.com also offers a special pink 4GB Walkman video MP3 player ($149.95 with $10 donated from each sale) and pink portable DVD player ($189.99 with $10 donated from each sale). Sony Style will donate up to $50,000 to BCRF.
