THE GADGET CORNER: Cool reaches a new level Print E-mail

Maybe it's that I got a kick out of the latest “Opus” strip. Or that I always see Linux stuff online. Or that I just find flightless birds cute, especially the way they trick around in those little tuxedos meticulously tailored by Mother Nature. Whatever. I have penguins on the brain. You know what that means — pudgy waddles in The Gadget Corner!

PENGUIN CAFFEINATED MINTS
($2.99 for one tin at thinkgeek.com)
Pop some Penguin Mints, and you'll get fresh breath and a bouncy mood to boot. Three mints pack the caffeine punch of one cola — proof you don't need the curiously strong when you can have the curiously wired.

USB PENGUIN MOUSE
($15 at usbgeek.com)
OK, think about this name for a second: penguin mouse. It's a mouse that's a penguin. Madness. Even crazier, this mouse comes in three colors and has a scroll wheel for a beak. A mouse with a beak? Stop the insanity!
