Your fantasy draft is fast approaching, and you're still undecided on whom to take with your first pick. Not to worry — 210SA is here with a rundown on the top 10 fantasy football players for the 2007 NFL campaign. 2. Steven Jackson, RB, St. Louis: The best young back in football, Jackson scored 16 TDs and totaled more than 2,300 yards last season. 3. Shaun Alexander, RB, Seattle: He's shed last year's Madden cover jinx and recovered from a broken left foot. Plus, his team's division, the NFC West, isn't exactly known for its defensive prowess. 4. Brian Westbrook, RB, Philadelphia: Westbrook is a quality runner and pass catcher, which is nice, considering the Eagles have a dearth — to put it nicely — of quality wideouts. 5. Frank Gore, RB, San Francisco: His injury-riddled history is a bit of a concern, though he did rush for 1,695 yards last season. 6. Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City: Johnson would have been No. 2, but he just reported to camp on Aug. 21. He is behind the curve, and the league-high 416 carries he had last season could have a hangover effect on his performance this season. 7. Travis Henry, RB, Denver: Hopefully for fantasy owners, the knee sprain Henry sustained in the preseason isn't indicative of something more severe. 8. Rudi Johnson, RB, Cincinnati: Quarterback Carson Palmer is healthy again, so expect Johnson — if his body holds up — to put up a season similar to last, when he rushed for 1,309 yards. 9. Willie Parker, RB, Pittsburgh: Had a breakout season in 2006, and if Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger continues to struggle, Parker — who rushed for 1,494 yards last season — will be expected to carry Pittsburgh's offense even more. 10. Peyton Manning, QB, Indianapolis: If any quarterback is going to make the fantasy top 10, it's the best one in the game today. |
