The Revolution Room has multiple rooms spread out over two levels and each room has a distinct vibe.

WHAT: Revolution Room

WHERE: 8123 Broadway

THE DIGITS: (210) 320-4567

WEB: myspace.com/revroom

GET YOUR DRINK ON: The red bar in the front is open 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Sunday-Monday; the blue bar in the back opens around 10 p.m. Thursday-Saturday; and the basement opens around 11 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.

HOTTIES QUOTIENT: High, if only because the sheer number of people who pack this place on the weekends ups your odds of finding at least one or two prospects. The clientele tends toward the young and carefully coiffed.

WALLET HANGOVER: Low. Happy hour runs 5-9 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday ($2 wells, $2 domestics, $2.50 imports, $1 off call drinks) and there are drink specials every day. Stay upstairs and there's never a cover; the cover for the basement is $3 on Friday-Saturday.

THE 210 TAKE: We love a bar with multiple personalities. Is Revolution Room a casual hangout where you can watch sports and play pool and darts? Or is it a live music venue? A trendy singles hotspot? A dance club? Yes. With multiple rooms spread out over two levels, you can bar hop without ever leaving the building. Each room has a distinct vibe, but wherever you go, there's music. A rock band or a DJ is featured daily in the front room; DJs Donnie D, Chacho and others spin hip hop, house and '80s dance music Thursday-Saturday in the basement and in the back room and Friday-Saturday in the “tunnel” off the back room. An art and music show takes over every first Saturday. And if all that's not enough for you, head next door to Salud! and Karma or across the street to Revolution Room's sister club, Rebar.
