Hotties quotient: Pretty high. Rebar attracts mostly hip patrons in their 20s and 30s looking to hang out with friends, but it's easy to strike up a conversation with a stranger in this laid-back place. Dress ranges from casual to come-hither. If the scene is dead, you can head across the street to the Revolution Room, Karma and Salud or down the street to the Hangar or Taco Garage.

Wallet hangover: Negligible. You'll often find drink specials ranging from $2 for any beer to $3 Bull Blasters. And there's never a cover, even when there's a live band. Nice.

The 210 take: Rebar is more than just a clever name. The sprawling bar strives to be all things to all people: live music fans can check out rock, funk and hip-hop bands or DJs several days per week; another room features video games, a jukebox and a big-screen TV for Spurs viewing; a front patio overlooking Broadway and a spacious back patio provide fresh air; and couples (or soon-to-be couples) can snuggle up in any number of intimate alcoves. If you're hungry, Beto's Comida Latina is right next door with tasty empanadas. What's not to love?
