Belle & Sebastian love some radicchio with their halloumi. Franz Ferdinand make some mean lemon ginger flapjacks. Interpol offers a twist on the chocolate-covered strawberry.

These are just a few of the recipes in Kara Zuaro's new cookbook, "I Like Food, Food Tastes Good" (Hyperion), a collection of concoctions from your favorite indie rock bands.

"I found talking about food with bands can be a good icebreaker," said Zuaro, who doubles as a freelance music journalist. "After a few interviews, and collecting a few recipes like Death Cab For Cutie's 'Veggie Sausage and Peanut Butter Sandwich,' I realized that these were recipes that would probably make other people laugh, and maybe even enjoy eating them, too."

Zuaro invited asap to her kitchen while she was preparing for the book's launch party and revealed a couple of her favorite recipes.
