You might say Eunice Lopez has got a thing for shoes.

With about 100 pairs to her name — at one time she owned more than 200 — it's no wonder why her friends and family often compare her (in jest, of course) to infamous shoe collector and former first lady of the Philippines, Imelda Marcos.

“My mom asks, ‘Really, don't you have enough (shoes)?'.” said 31-year-old Lopez, a programmer/systems analyst for CPS Energy. “But I don't care, I love shoes.”

Indeed. The look on her face as she pulls down box after box of her “favorites right now” reveals her true feelings.

“I love looking at my shoes,” said Lopez, grinning from ear to ear. “I usually buy my shoes first, then find something to go with them.”
 

AMAZING LACE
“You can't go wrong with black — it's slimming and elegant. I've worn this to a wedding, but I can just as easily wear it to dinner or on a fancy date.”

LIVING ON THE WEDGE
“Right now, these are my favorite shoes. They're the softest leather, and the wedge heel is so easy to walk in. I can wear them all day if I want to. Plus, they help me in the height department — I'm barely 5 feet tall.”

WEEKEND WARRIOR
“On the weekends, I'm all about comfort, but I still like to look stylish. A cute cami with jeans and sandals works whether I'm running errands, shopping or hanging out with friends.”

GO TEAM!
“I'm a huge Spurs fan, and these get a workout during regular season; I share the cost of season tickets with friends and go to as many games as possible.”
