Kimberly Shipman likes to look classy without sacrificing comfort. |
Whether she's running errands or lunching with friends, Kimberly Shipman knows she can throw on her favorite pink button-down shirt and a strand of pearls and always look perfectly put together.
“It's what I turn to when I want to look nice but still be comfortable,” said the 23-year-old UTSA graduate student. “And, it reflects my classy trendy style.”
Although growing up around four sisters — three older and one younger — helped foster her appreciation for style, Shipman said she's always been “very aware of how things go together, of how I look.”
“First impressions are very important, and what you wear is a big part of that,” she said.
Pretty in pink
These are the kind of shoes I like to build an outfit around. I love these because they're not only in my favorite color but also they look great with skirts, trousers and jeans.”
New York chic
“I bought this especially for my vacation to New York. We plan to see a show while we're there, and this dress is perfectly elegant and fun.”
Old reliable
“I love to dress up, to look classy and elegant. But don't get me wrong — I also love a comfy T-shirt and great pair of jeans. I have several pairs (of jeans), but these are my favorite because the length is perfect for heels or flats.”
Winter ready
“I really love winter clothes — especially coats — but there aren't many opportunities to wear them in San Antonio. This is one of my favorite jackets; it used to belong to my mom. It's classic and trendy at the same time.”
Timeless treasure
“My mother gave this to me recently; her mother gave it to her when she was my age. I don't use it often, but it is the most special piece in my closet.”
