Comfortable, confident and courageous — that's what Zenobia West says her clothes reveal about her. “My wardrobe changes every three months or so,” said the 22-year-old merchandise associate for Macy's. “When it comes to fashion, I like to take risks; my friends always tell me I look good, but that they could never wear what I do.” A December 2006 graduate of the fashion design program at the University of the Incarnate Word, West puts her sewing skills to work when her body craves something unique. “I like clothes that are edgy, fresh and new,” she said. “If I can't find what I'm looking for in a store, I'll make it myself.”
“This was the first thing I made in college. I think my instructor was a little shocked at the sight of them. They're a little on the wild side, but I love them. I bought more flame fabric to make a matching top.”

Sneak peek “Since I'm on my feet a lot for work I prefer to wear sneakers, but not just any sneakers; they have to be fun and different. These are my absolute favorites because they're cool and sleek and so very comfortable.”
“I have a difficult time finding jeans that are long enough as well as comfortable and stylish. Victoria's Secret is one of the few retailers that offers longer inseams. I bought these over a year ago for only $34 and, considering I wear them all the time, they still look good. Of course, I wash them inside out and I never put them in the dryer.”
