The shooting deaths of 32 people at Virginia Tech have put college campuses around the nation on notice for students that may exhibit signs of violence or severe inner turmoil.
San Antonio college campuses are reaching out to students who may be troubled and in need of counseling. Most, if not all, college campuses offer counseling services to provide an outlet to for students to share what is on their minds.
“This tragedy reminds us that there are some things in life that we cannot control,” UTSA President Ricardo Romo said in an e-mail the day after the shootings. “But, what we can do is remember our sense of community and demonstrate our concern and compassion for each other.”
