WHAT: Wise Guys Bar and Pizzeria

WHERE: 502 Embassy Oaks, Suite 138

THE DIGITS: (210) 798-0751

ON THE WEB: myspace.com/wiseguysbar

GET YOUR DRINK ON: 2 p.m.-2 a.m. daily

HOTTIES QUOTIENT: Quite high. Wise Guys packs in a young, hip crowd with live rock by cover bands such as Fail-Safe, Drive and Burndown, poker nights and pizza by the slice. Expect to be checked out by women dressed to impress and guys wearing baseball caps and T-shirts with funny phrases written on them. If you include the bouncers, the HQ rises considerably.

WALLET HANGOVER: Minimal. There's a daily drink special, and you can always get a Tecate or a Lone Star for $2. A slice of cheese pizza costs $2.25; additional toppings cost extra.

THE 210 TAKE: Besides the pizza, there's not much about Wise Guys that sets it apart from other bars of its kind, but that doesn't mean it's not worth a visit. Head there for the music, the cheap drinks and the games — there's a pool table, foosball, arcade games and a dartboard. Avoid it if you're claustrophobic or asthmatic — after 15 minutes inside, your mouth will taste like you've smoked a pack. And if it's an off night, its proximity to the Falls, the Bitter End and Fast Eddie's makes it ideal for bar-hopping.
