THE SOPRANOS, April 8, HBO: America's favorite mob family is back. And luckily, since this is supposed to be the show's final season, you won't have to worry about waiting another four or five years for the following season.
ENTOURAGE, April 8, HBO: Ladies, be prepared to lose your husbands/boyfriends on Sunday nights. As if the violence and nudity that saturates “The Sopranos” wasn't enough, the new season of “Entourage” premieres on the very same night, complete with adult content galore and always over-the-top agent Ari Gold.
AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE COLON MOVIE FILM FOR THEATERS, April 13, theaters nationwide: If you've seen the show, you know the drill. Three fast-food items (a meat wad, a milkshake and a box of french fries) live together in New Jersey. And if you've never seen the show, we're guessing that you are now at least a little bit curious.
BRIGHT EYES, CASSADAGA, April 10: The indie darlings teased the masses with last month's six-song Four Winds EP. Now, it's time for the full-length payoff. That sounds dirty, doesn't it?
STATIC-X, April 15, White Rabbit: With album titles such as Wisconsin Death Trip, Start a War and Cannibal, as well as a name with an X in it, no one will accuse this band of being subtle in its intentions. Of course, with raging guitars and pulsating vocals, no one will accuse them of being boring, either.
STONE SOUR, April 18, Sunset Station: They started as a part-time Slipknot spinoff and have morphed into a popular, radio-friendly mainstream rock band. And, unlike the masked members of Slipknot, Stone Sour doesn't scare the crap out of small children. Well, not as much, at least.
OLD SETTLER'S MUSIC FESTIVAL, April 19-22, Austin's Salt Lick BBQ Pavilion: Artists on the bill include Joan Osborne and Iris DeMent and Sam Bush. Hippies and pseudo-hippies (the ones that act hippie-ish but drive Yukons and 4-Runners) are sure to be out in full force.
FIESTA, April 20: Plan that Friday now. Sleep in, skip work and have a Shiner Bock with your morning Cheerios. By the time the first day of Fiesta truly gets rolling, you will have already caught your third wind. Or maybe you will have already passed out.
FALL OUT BOY, April 25, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater: Get there early, or all the high school kids and their parents — will get the good lawn seats. Paul Wall and +44 (with two of those guys from Blink-182) open the show. Man, does this make us feel old. The Fall Out Boy of our generation (Blink-182) is essentially opening for the new generation's Blink-182. We need a nap.
