 Hotties quotient: It's a major hangout for college students and yuppies, some of whom are pretty cute. But if you aren't, take heart from the lettering over the door to the patio: “Beer: Helping unattractive people have sex for more than 2,000 years.”

 Wallet hangover: Most of the pale lagers, pale ales and ciders are in the $4 range; the Belgian ales, Trappist ales, porters and stouts can cost up to $11 (but often you're getting more than 20 ounces). Every day there's a beer on special for $2.50.

 The 210 take: The bar in the Strand shopping center is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're a beer lover: It has one of the largest selections in San Antonio, with 80 draft beers and 170 bottled brews. The food — everything from pizza to salmon wraps to cheese boards — is surprisingly good, too. And if you drink 200 different beers, you get your name on a plate on the wall. Now, there's something you can be proud of.
